Story: A clumsy young girl, Inari Fushimi has a crush on cool kid Konji Tanbabashi. After rescuing a pup, she encounters Uka-no-Mitama-no-Kami who gives her a bit of her powers, allowing Inari to transform her appearance into that of any other human.

This series is absolutely without a doubt the most adorable series to air this season! Really reminds me of the feel-good light hearted stories from Natsume Yuuchinjou mixed with a little bit of Hayao Miyazaki.

Now onto the first episode of this romance series. Usually I am not one to enjoy romance series, ok, scratch that I loved Nodame Cantabile and Kimi Ni Todoke, but this series has just enough other elements to push on through without getting overly annoying. The main character, Inari is very clumsy at the beginning which leads her to the embarrassing scene at the school gym and Tanbabashi. The acting is pretty spot and the background designs and the character designs are gorgeous! The soundtrack isn’t anything to write home about just yet, except the OP and ED’s are fantastic! I had hoped in this first episode we got a little bit more of where she lived in the small town, but the shrine area needed an explanation, and it became a great backstory for Inari. I really like the seiyuu for Uka, such a serene and calm tone in her voice when she talks, that can be quiet sometimes, yet you can hear the maturity underneath it all as a character. I had to look up her voice credits. Houko Kuwashima has done a ton of roles, and oh my goodness! Voicing Kirika Yuumura from Noir, Scarlett from Space Dandy, and one of my favorite series Mahou Shoujo Tai’s Sheila! I hope I will continue to enjoy this series as much as the first episode!

First Impression: 8/10
