What in the world is with this season’s soundtracks?  I mentioned before how solid the music has been in a bunch of the series that have aired but seriously this rocks!  Most notably Zankyou no Terror, Space Dandy and this series have the best soundtracks of the summer season.  I cannot put Kenji Kawai on this list as for now, Barakamon hasn’t had the strong impact in the music department as this- and the other shows I mentioned have had on me.  Sawano’s flashy electronic-infused sounds carry the action in Aldnoah Zero extremely well.  The sound effects they used in the fight towards the end were absolutely fantastic!

People running and hiding from giant alien robots- I like how realistic this series is!  Inaho, Inko and Calm provided quite the strategy to defend against Vlad and his Kataphrakt Argyre.  They took a very dangerous situation that could cost a bunch of lives and found a sensible solution to run away just in time for reinforcements to arrive.  Clever.

The CG that A-1 Pictures and TROYCA provided in here for this show is fantastic.  I can recall one other show Knights of Sidonia that had really good CG this year.  This makes M3 look horrible in comparison.

We got a look at the views that people have in this show- and its nice to see how Inaho is shaping up to be the main character at the center of it all.  He’s a smart guy putting aside his emotions for the sake of keeping everyone calm and level-headed.  I just hope this series doesn’t pull a Guilty Crown and revolve the plot solely around his decisions.  Rayet has turned out to be very strong after her father died.  Nice development there that she’s willing to reveal the princess if the people aboard are in danger.  Amplifying the fact that everyone that has been shown running from the martians may have their own agendas.  Can’t wait to see what Slaine has up his sleeve after discovering the truth.

OVERALL IMPRESSION: 7/10
